They are shocked that the burglar who broke into their home would do this to them. They were certain that with their looks & charm they could simply convince the intruder to leave them alone. In Stevie’s own words “We are too cute to be tied up!” They are even more shocked when the burglar decides to gag them and leave them tied up!
