On Tuesday, we worked with the lovely Madeline Mapp. We shot 2 videos, with photosets, all for the Imago Studios Members’ Club. If you look closely, you will notice that Madeline is wearing a wig in each set. Why you ask? Because she recently got hired to model in a hair show and they pretty much cut it all off 🙂 That is more or less standard procedure with hair shows – but the gigs do pay well! And although Madeline looked pretty cute with hair the length of Ray’s, it wasn’t a very traditional look and she did bring several interesting wigs. The different hair styles also gave us an idea for a story in which Madeline plays twin sisters – one good and one bad! That allowed Madeline to do some really campy acting, which she just loves and really excels at! |

Hair shows are quite the thing in Las Vegas as well as Los Angeles – stylists cut & color the hair on stage, repeatedly, so by the end of the 3 or 4 day show, the model’s hair is totally fried and generally needs to be shaved off. Models who agree to this get paid pretty well. Hair grows back and then you can do it again!
I guess I’m simple, but I don’t understand the idea of cutting off hair for a “hair show.” But hair or no, it’s great to see Madeline back! She’s a terrific model and a wonderfully campy actress, and I hope we’ll see much more of her.

Great to see Madeline back! She looks great with these different hair styles. I especially like her look in the first photo. To me, she has a classic Lois Lane look about her with the shorter black hair. I’m a fan of her campy acting, so I’m excited to see both videos!
