We are another year older! This month marks the 26th anniversary of the Imago Studios website going live.

In our blog post for our 25th anniversary, we mentioned we were one of the oldest, largest, most successful and certainly most unique bondage sites ever. Of these, the one that strikes us the most is our uniqueness. What we did in terms of finding our own exclusive models, true amateurs who are just ordinary people with ordinary lives, and cultivating long term working relationships with them, is not something that can be repeated. Ever. Times have changed – dramatically. We often think that if we were getting started today, or even 5 years ago, we could never replicate what we did decades ago and continue to do till this day. And no one else will either – it simply is no longer possible to do. The web and this “industry” are simply far different then they were.

So why did we take the path of finding our own models when it would have been far easier to work with pro fetish & porn models like everyone else? In part, because we never wanted to deal with the seedier aspects of this business, but mostly because we discovered very early on that when we found a great amateur model (and we’ve found 100s), the results were magical. In large measure, it has been the joy of working with such cool people that has inspired us to continue doing this for so many years.
